Who This Is For

Credit building isn't one-size-fits-all. Here's who we work with:

🌿

No Credit at All

Never had a credit card or loan. You're an invisible borrower — let's fix that.

🔄

Rebuilding After Setbacks

Bankruptcy, collections, charge-offs in your past. Time to rebuild strategically.

🔚

ITIN Holders

You have an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number and want to build U.S. credit.

🏠

Getting Mortgage-Ready

Need 3 open tradelines and the right score profile before applying for a home loan.

🚗

Auto or Rental Goals

Tired of being denied for cars or apartments? A real credit profile changes everything.

Your 5-Step Credit Building Roadmap

Follow these steps in order. Skip none.

1

Get Your Snapshot

Pull your educational credit report through MyFreeScoreNow to see exactly where you stand before building anything.

2

Clean Up Negatives First

Building on top of unresolved negatives slows your progress. Address inaccurate or unverifiable items before adding new accounts.

3

Open a Credit Builder

A Self or Credit Strong account reports as an installment loan — adding positive payment history every month automatically.

4

Add a Secured Card

A secured credit card adds revolving credit utilization — one of the most weighted score factors. Keep usage under 10% of the limit.

5

Monitor Your Progress

Stay enrolled in MFSN monitoring so you catch changes, new accounts, or errors in real time — before they hurt you.

Recommended Credit Building Tools

These are the same tools Keyla recommends to every client. No fluff — just what works.

Installment Loan

Self

A credit builder loan that reports to all 3 bureaus. You make payments into a savings account and get the money at the end. No credit check required to open.

Installment Loan

Credit Strong

Similar to Self but with more flexible plan options. Reports to all 3 bureaus as an installment account. Great for building depth and history quickly.

Revolving Credit

Secured Credit Card

Deposit a small amount as collateral and use it like a regular credit card. Pay the full balance each month. Keep utilization under 10% for maximum score impact.

Ask Keyla which secured card is best for your profile during your free consultation.

Strategy

Authorized User Strategy

Being added as an authorized user on a family member's or partner's old, low-utilization account can add years of positive history to your file instantly.

Ask Keyla how to evaluate an account before accepting authorized user status.

Installment Loan

Ava Card

A credit builder product that works well for ITIN holders and thin-file borrowers. Reports to multiple bureaus and does not require a Social Security Number to open.

Credit Building for ITIN Holders

You don't need a Social Security Number to build credit in the United States. Here's how it works.

MFSN Accepts ITIN

MyFreeScoreNow supports full enrollment for ITIN holders. You can monitor all 3 bureaus and track your credit building progress from day one.

Ava Card + Credit Builder Loans

Several credit builder products accept ITINs. These tools report to the bureaus and build your history the same way SSN-based accounts do.

Dispute Rights Are the Same

ITIN holders have the exact same FCRA dispute rights as SSN holders. Inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable items can and should be challenged.

Important: Aleylin Solutions does not help clients obtain ITINs. If you need an ITIN, please work with an IRS Certified Acceptance Agent (CAA) or a qualified tax professional first. Once you have your ITIN, we are ready to help you build.

What a Realistic Timeline Looks Like

Every file is different. These are general milestones — not guarantees.

Month 1–2

Foundation

Pull report, open credit builder account(s), enroll in monitoring, dispute any inaccuracies found during initial review.

Month 3–4

History Building

Consistent on-time payments start building positive history. Initial disputes return results. Score movement typically begins.

Month 5–8

Profile Depth

Consider adding a second tradeline. Authorized user strategy evaluated. Score profile continues strengthening with seasoned accounts.

Month 9–12+

Goal-Ready

With consistent habits and clean negatives, many clients reach their initial financing goal window — mortgage pre-qual, auto approval, apartment approval.

Results vary based on individual credit profiles, the accuracy of information in your credit file, creditor reporting practices, and your payment behavior. No specific outcome, score increase, or timeline can be guaranteed. This timeline is provided for general educational purposes only.

Credit Building FAQs

Yes. ITIN holders can build U.S. credit using products like Ava Card and certain credit builder loans that accept Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers. MFSN also supports ITIN enrollment for monitoring. You have the same FCRA dispute rights as any other consumer.
It depends on the tools you choose. Credit builder loans like Self typically start around $25–$48/month. Secured cards require a small deposit (often $200–$500) that you get back when you close or upgrade the account. Monitoring through MFSN is $39.95/month. If you want Keyla to manage your full file under DFY, there is a one-time $197 setup fee plus the MFSN enrollment.
The fastest path combines three things: becoming an authorized user on a seasoned account (adds history immediately), opening a credit builder loan (adds installment history), and keeping a secured card below 10% utilization. Clean negatives first — building on top of unresolved derogatory marks is like mopping the floor while the faucet is still running. Results vary by individual credit profile and no specific timeline or outcome can be guaranteed.
Many credit builder products (including Self and Ava) use soft inquiries only for the initial approval, which do not affect your score. Secured cards may use a soft or hard inquiry depending on the issuer. Ask before applying. The long-term benefit of adding positive tradelines typically far outweighs the temporary minor impact of a single hard inquiry.
A mixed file — where another consumer's information appears on your report — is a serious issue that can appear to reflect a potential FCRA concern. Do not try to build on top of a mixed file. Contact Keyla before opening any new accounts so we can review the report, identify the issue, and address it through the appropriate dispute process first.
